- We visited Tim and Lorna and also Neil and Barbara over the New Year period in North Berwick which was lovely, but cold!
- Tim took part in the New Year's Day swim!
- We also walked around St Abbs Head and had a meal in the local fish and chip restaurant - and had hot chocolates in the local ice cream/hot coffee cafe.
- We also went to The Light Show at Edinburgh Castle.

| Tantallon was home to the powerful Red Douglas dynasty, which often clashed with the Crown. It was besieged by both James IV and James V but was ultimately destroyed by Oliver Cromwell’s troops in a siege of 1651 |

| Craigleith Island.
The island's name, Creag Lìte, comes from the Scottish Gaelic language, meaning "rock of Leith." At its highest point, Craigleith stands about 45 meters (148 feet) tall. |
